Classic Foley Chardonnay from Sta Rita Hills Vineyard. 2012 was a good vintage per tasting room staff. I liked it.

Nice balance of oak and butter. Not imbalanced like my drinking companion.

Wonderful wine. Reminiscent of a good white Burgundy. Lovely balance, beautiful finish. Great price too, $55.

I don't know why this wine doesn't have phenomenal reviews here because It's the first bottle of Chardonnay that my mother and I have really enjoyed this year aside from Lewis Cellars. Butterscotch on the nose whets the palate for what comes next: a silky medium-bodied wine with bountiful apricot notes and a bit of green pear and juicy citrus. Finishes tight and bright inviting you to take the next sip ....Or gulp! We will buy it again!
