Grüner Veltliner

Rich and flavorful and not over dry.

Played wine roulette at Trader Joe's and brought home this Gruner - I think it was $4.99. It's a pleasant wine for this price. Lemon/lime , Apple, a hint of spice. If I had to buy many bottles for a party, this would do well at $5.

Great price for a nice refreshing light wine!

This was actually my first experience with Grüner and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the light body and extremely dry character. Beautiful acidity and structured minerality that suggests this would be a great wine for pairing.

First off it's 5 bucks so let's consider that as we rate it. I think the overall score is lower than it should be. Nice cheap white, green apple, lemon and grapefruit and slightly effervescent. Is it amazing? No but quaffable and an amazing value. Grab a few bottles for any meal you would typically pair with white. Cheers.

Delicious nose of apple and yellow pear. Palate is smooth and a little watery. Finish is too smooth, with very little tartness or additional flavor.
