Grüner Veltliner

2019 Vintage - light aromatics of grape fruit , pear ,slight spritz ,pleasant quaffable 12.0% abv

Green apple, lemon, lime, grapefruit and slightly effervescent. Light, not complex, but for $5 at Trader Joe's it's a good pairing when snacking on a lemon, lime, grapefruit...Or even seafood.

An awesome food wine to go with seafood or appetizers. Green apple, lemon and lime. Acidity that adds depth and finish.

Lemon zest on the nose, grapefruit and white pepper on the palate. Not terribly interesting, but refreshing and pleasant.

Five bucks. Green apple and slight pepper finish. Not complex but why should it be at this price. Better than many other wines at this price.

Sour green apple, lemon & lime zest. Clean acidity upfront, but dies a bit in the finish. For $5 though, worth every penny. Great with food like seafood, oysters, salad or as just your everyday porch pounder.

Grüner Veltliner from Hungary. Meh. However, at $4.99, I can afford the hit.

Hungarian Grüner Veltliner. $4.99 a bottle. Drinkable. But not very concentrated, watery on the finish.

Pleasant citrus with a bit of acid. Would like to see how it handles a few years of aging and suspect it would be surprising. Lori thought it was way too citrusy and didn’t care for it.
