Main reason we go out this time of year each year...the Flora Springs Trilogy Release Party! Very similar in style to their Rutherford Reserve Cab with more chocolate and roasted plum alongside red & black fruit. More plush than their other offerings.

06' Flora Springs Legacy. I'm pretty certain this was the first vintage. Less then 3 barrels made of this. It's a blending of all five of their best single vineyard barrels.
Five different AVA's & you get a multitude of flavors in his bottle. Layers of smooth juice, throw in some spices & some soft tannins.
I had to make sure it was close to a pop & pour. Had to pull a wine out of the cellar that the crowd would like. This is right down the middle. Fruit bomb/crowd pleaser. After a short 30 minute decanting.

Lots of red fruit to start along with tobacco. Velvety smooth and smoky finish. As good as I remember from the tasting at Flora Springs.

Oh my, that was worth waiting for. Dark fruit forward, but perfectly balanced, tannins in check, so very flavorful. A finish that just goes on and on and on. My notes indicate I purchased this for about $40 in late 2011 - this easily drinks like a wine three, four or five times that amount. Napa Valley at its finest.
