Campo de Borja Garnacha

Terrifically well balanced. An ally in any good dinner party.

I opened this on Thanksgiving, and it was more tart than I remembered from previous tastings. I cloded the bottle and moved on to other wines. After sitting in my fridge for a week, it smells like prunes, black cherries, and a hint of chocolate on the nose; medium minus acidity; medium tannins; tastes like blackberry sauce and crushed gravel with a long finish. I love this wine, and Nellie likes it too. I will decant this wine for at least an hour the next time I open a bottle. It's much more impressive after a week in my fridge.

Medium ruby in color; stewed strawberries, dried herbs, and raspberries on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like candied cherries, blood oranges, hibiscus, and a hint of black pepper with a long finish. Nellie and I love it! Pairs really well with pork.

15.5%, chilled it first. Spice, berries, and mineral. Nice. ($15)

very fruit forward ends like syrah. Acditic and very strong tannins. Meduim body cherry meaty tobacco

If you want intense oak, this is the right choice
