I liked this champagne a lot, mineral/rising bread/very balanced, soft but clean, and then met the family member, and now love it. I think it is totally legitimate to like a wine better when it is made by people you like--the people/story/culture can't be separated from the wine, that's part of the pleasure, part of what makes grape juice into wine.

Bread and yeast forward - very enjoyable on the palette. Price point is also nice - nothing not to like here

Pale yellow color with a fine bead, and bread dough, hazelnut, cherry aromas. On the palate it's shows a delicate creamy mousse, racy acidity and wonderful balance with cherry, strawberry, red apple, and vanilla flavors and a lingering mineral driven finish. 100% Pinot Noir sparkling wine from the Aube in the southernmost part of the Champagne region

Floral aromas mixed with apple sauce, seems kind and of sour.... almost like fresh cheese aromas. On the palette pear, green apple some notes of lime and a bit nutty - think walnuts... the bitterness of walnut aftertaste. Finishes long and nutty. This is not your typical sparkling wine but if you are adventurous to try some thing off the beaten path it is worth a try.

So solid. Piercing acid, great mousse, slight cream, and slight red fruit.
