Fantastic cab dominant BDX blend! Weighty in the mouth, swimming in powdered coco flavor and texture, plum and tobacco with every sip.

Very much a New World Sangiovese, this bottle from Walla Walla Valley is still quite tasty. It has a big nose of cherries, smoke, and spice. Upon opening, the taste is very sharp but softens after decanting. The palate consists of oak and butterscotch, but the deep dark fruits steal the show. After the wine has had time to open up, the flavored of ripe cherries and leather display the best characteristics of the juice. The finish shows well integrated tannins and those typical Tuscan spicy notes.

Great balance of fruit. Medium body and a good choice to go with all types of food especially Italian dishes.

Sangio is not my favorite. Has a smokey flavor, but not overwhelming.
