Blackberry, blueberry, and plum fruit, with some dry stone and dusty soil. Very dry and pretty light bodied. Tannins and acidity are strong, and the fruit seems to fade quickly, leaving it somewhat unbalanced.

I think this wine was really good when paired with pasta and rich Italian sauces. It holds up to the flavors we long for when we want an Italian meal. This vintage may be better than other years.

Dry cherry notes riding on a background of berries and plums. Some spice and brambles, earth and stone. Moderate acidity with twiggy tannins. Overall rustic bu pleasant. It went well with linguine and tapenade.

2015v. About what you'd expect in Nero d'avola: high acid, tart, with a little deep dark fruit. Better as a food accompaniment. 13.5% ABV.

Great summer wine, enough chew without too much heaviness or fruit. It was slightly chilled at Il Posto, which probably enhanced its drinkability.
