Chiaramonte Sicilia Nero d'Avola

Uncomplicated easy drinking pizza wine. I liked the weight and balance, it was fresh and clean, with plum and spice character. Good enough for sure

Tired and obviously old. Not bringing much. Age isn't better in this case.

Aromas of black berry fruit, floral, herbal.
Dry. Flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant, floral, sage. Medium-rich, chewy tannins.

Plum cherry herbal blood, cinnamon/clove spice finish tight bitter chocolate finish

Very good.

2nd go around for this wine . First time it was excellent after some Zins and Italian food. This time it was afar a Nero D’Avola and not as good. Not sure if the Nero D’Avola influences it but it was very dry and tannic which isn’t a bad thing but I was wasn’t expecting. Will try again for sure though.

Dry. Flavors of ripe black fruit, spice, clove. Rich, flavor with smooth, rich tannins.
