Chiaramonte Sicilia DOC Inzolia

Judging solely by the amount of jewelry of the owner, I can guarantee an authentic Sicilian recommendation of this wine.

A little bretty due to the age (was 2014 already six years ago??!), the acid didn’t hold up too well but that combo makes me feel like I’m drinking a nice example of an aged white. Barnyard funk on the nose, smooth ripe strawberries with a slightly chalky finish.

Light enough for sipping but holds its own with a meal.
Tried with dinner at Piacere Mio.

I haven’t had much Inzolia to compare this to, but I like this. It’s herbal and nutty and went well with basil pesto. I think it would be good with pretty much any white fish as well.

Душистый, интенсивный аромат: белые фрукты - яблоки, груша, персик, нектарин, чуть специй, леденец, белые цветы, миндаль. Умеренная кислотность, вкус мягкий, свежий, с нотами фруктов и минералов. В послевкусии - намеки миндаля. Отличная гастропара с салатом с креветками получилась.
