I tasted several Firehouse red wines in a tasting room and found this to be the best of the lot. A couple others were solid, and some, like their cab, were pretty thin and disappointing. The Rebel Red was the most consistent from start to finish, with red cherry, oak, caramel, and spice notes. The finish is medium tannic and medium acid with more staying power than the other reds in the portfolio. Some of their other reds were more elegant to start, but just didn’t carry through. A non-vintage wine with no identification of the grapes used or origin.
