Dark purple colour with a lovely deep nose of the grilled red bell pepper promised by the label with some black olive and hints of dark chocolate. Still a little closed when tasted so a little more sourness with the black olive more prominent though some blackcurrant in the background. Given the closedness (drinking the 2014 in 2016) this was definitely better with food and worked well with our delicious homemade pepperoni pizza

2011 vintage. Cabernet Franc from Maipu. Trapiche Fincas. Deep purple hue. Leather, oak, deep dark fruits (black plum and blackberry) and earthy notes. Inviting. Vanilla essence. On the palate, smooth as silk, medium plus alcohol and tannins - smooth and ripe. Medium minus acidity and medium plus finish. Very moreish. Good example of its type.
