Super meaty on the nose upon opening and it took about 2 hours for it to mostly burn off in the decanter while drinking other wines. When it did make it into the glass, it was just incredibly brutish for its age, tannins to grip for minutes. Dark inky opaque color with a burnt orange rim - aromas of leather, cigar ash, grilled meat, black pepper, allspice blend, dried cherries, bruised red apples. Firm structured on the pallet - cigar smoke, luxardo cherry, black pepper, cedar, and leather. Loved this wine, and for a Crianza it was serious and in need of age.
