Finca Bacara
Time Waits For No One Monastrell
Ripe, full with good intensity. Very approachable. It reminds me of cool Primitivo from Puglia. Terrible label.

Juicy dark fruit (blueberry?), baking spice, oak, vanilla, sanding sugar/Lemonheads, and an earthy note I can’t pin down with a description on the nose. Blueberry, blackberry, and baking spice on the palate. Medium plus acidity and structured tannins, while the mouthfeel isn’t disappointing it doesn’t wow. Oak, cocoa and an earthiness on the finish as well as a slight alcoholic heat.

Jan 8th, 2021Lots going on with this wine. Fruit (raspberry and blackberry), earthy, saline minerality, a little vanilla and tobacco. Very enjoyable. Only knock is that it is a bit jammy.
