Time Waits For No One Monastrell

Ripe, full with good intensity. Very approachable. It reminds me of cool Primitivo from Puglia. Terrible label.

Decent, but not knocking my socks off.

Deep ruby in color. Juicy dark fruit (blueberry?), baking spice, oak, vanilla, sanding sugar/Lemonheads, and an earthy note I can’t pin down with a description on the nose. Blueberry, blackberry, and baking spice on the palate. Medium plus acidity and structured tannins, while the mouthfeel isn’t disappointing it doesn’t wow. Oak, cocoa and an earthiness on the finish as well as a slight alcoholic heat.

Lots going on with this wine. Fruit (raspberry and blackberry), earthy, saline minerality, a little vanilla and tobacco. Very enjoyable. Only knock is that it is a bit jammy.

Absolutely delicious and ready to drink.

Don’t judge a wine by its bottle! Thick and full bodied, unsweetened dark red fruit, delicious.
