What I like about Field Recordings is that Andrew Jones is building his brand on his identity as a field hunter or vine scout first. He has a resume for establishing grape relationships and using those to offer the best intersection of quality and price in the California natural wine arena.

Take this. The idea to mix Mosaic hops with sparkling Chardonnay may seem at first gimmicky. But it’s not. It’s simple and delicious. It’s just what you’d expect. Lemony and resiny and chalky and dry and lean and also very unique. And for $22.
