Trying it again. Different vintage. Cool tree on the label. Nice red wine color. Pretty in the glass. Smells like cut wood and rocks. Not fruit. Made a bit of incense too. Flavors are dry and dense. Herbal. Streak of berries. Like blackberry sauce in ice cream. Plenty of ink or elderberry stuff too. This is quite the difference from the Arg Malbec style. A hint of that coyote brush in the sun thing that I associate with southern France. Certainly a go to Malbec for my Malbec hater-ass.
