What a remarkable wine. It's made from the extremely rare Sirica grape (not Aglianico), which I understand to be a three-way cross between Syrah, Teroldego, and Refosco. Notes of violets and dark fruit on the nose, and flavors of blackberry, clove, and black pepper on the palate. The nicely integrated tannins were velvety and helped contribute to the well-balanced structure. Exceptional! 100% Sirica. 4/10/23.

Deep red full bodied. Needs to breath before drinking. Ok, but probably won’t buy again.
