Medium dry, subdued notes of cherries, currants, slight touch of tobacco. Opened up nicely. Paired well with tomato-based pasta sauces.

Deep and peppery with dark fresh fruits in a restrained and tannic palate. Aromatic on the finish with a yearning for big rich meat dishes.

Had this at Panzano's in Denver. It's nice - leather, dark fruit, strong upfront but not as tannic as I feared it would be. Medium minus finish, medium acid. Paired well with the NY Strip, fried gnocchi, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus.
