Versace Nero d'Avola

Cooked plum, pomegranate, cooked herbs, vanilla, caramel, high acid. Intense wine, maybe a bit too intense.

Good balance. Black fruits with comfortable acidity. 2019 @7200, G drp, 231006

Mature fruit, still a bit of tannin, high acidity and intense flavours.

Classy wine. Soft but distinct nose, excellent structure on the palate. Some tannin, long finish. Blackberries, lemon, a spice I can't name. Pandemic bottle #1.

Hot and rustic. Paired well with homemade pizza.

Really fantastic stuff.

Utterly disappointing. Nose offers some floral notes (rose petals?) but the taste is... one-dimensional and plain. I couldn't drink this. Sorry, but no.
