Fess surely knows how to do Burgundian wine in the California style. The nose is a cool breeze, saline and fresh in ways that other wines are not. The palate is fresh and fruit forward, some people may say to a fault. I don't. This is a fantastic pinot.

Musty and fungal on the nose, opened up a bit but largely flat. Tanins come alive on the finish. Nothing fun or wild. C- overall 😔
