On the palate the full fruit comes forth with delightful apple/pear/peach and citrus, rich, full-bodied and buttery with just the right balance of acidity and oak, very elegant. This 100% Chardonnay was barrel aged for 10 months in French oak. The wine finishes with a soft touch of savory spice and oak. This is an outstanding top shelf Chardonnay. A clean refreshing rendition of oaked CA chard. Citrus and stone fruits with well integrated oak and subtle minerality.
Not sure it will develop further, but should hold for 4-5 years.

Feb 4th, 2024The nose shows pleasant mix of citrus and orchard fruits, mint, and sea breeze, quite similar to the Sanford & Benedict bottling. The flavor shows some well integrated oak spices. Would prefer a bit more texture on the palate. But overall balanced and delicious.
