Ferrer Bobet
Priorat Carignan Blend
Drinking well at 10 years. Spicy nose of blue fruit, tobacco, and leather. Slightly feral. Mostly Carignane with equal parts Syrah and Grenache with a dash of Cabernet. 14.5% abv.
Despite the 60% new French oak this wine absolutely highlights the stony/mineral character of Licorella soil.

Very well balanced. Tarragon. Heat on the back end.

Apr 8th, 2019Beautiful roundness. Mature red fruits and minerality with great acidity. Medium bodied. Delicious.
Side note, used a RePour cork after having one glass, let the bottle sit for 3 days before reopening, and the wine was still incredibly delicious/the same as the day I opened it.
