Ferrari-Carano
Trésor Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

The 2012 vintage of Trésor is deceptively easy to love. Medium garnet with an elegant, round bouquet of black fruit, violets and forest floor, the tannins are so ripe and silky the wine feels complete today. It will gain depth with time but the fruit is so well integrated and lush it will be hard to put this wine away for long. Cocoa, blueberry, bramble and more all in perfect balance, held together by restrained oak. A beautiful example of an elegant Meritage blend.

Exceptionally well balanced blend, elegant, but lively. An uber Meritage.

Nice fruit flavor, and not quite as heavy as straight cab.

Ferrari has a special place in my heart. It's the first winery I ever visited. The winery is beautiful, the juice is good and reliable, and it can be found at a good value. The 2012 Trésor is terrific. Lots of fruit and spicecake on the nose. The wine is full of blackberries, clove, and Christmas spice, with a lovely hint of mocha. Silky smooth and supple. My only gripe is the price. But I stole this for $32 this weekend. And I did not feel bad about it, given how much $$ I dropped. Must get more.
