Another 4th Friday for the books!
Great nose, easy to pick up the floral cab franc. Dusty cocoa dates, red/black licorice, underripe blackberry on the nose. Surprisingly, I think it’s still got some time ahead of it with the tannic grip on the palate. A lot of plum and currant dominate this blend. It’s juicy without being fruity/jammy...if that makes sense. Really nice lift to it. Thanks @Keith Fisher !

Sep 29th, 2018Another 4th Friday for the books. What a much needed time out of the house and to be with friends after this past week.
These cab franc/cab sauv blends by Andy are divine. I didn’t know the makeup at first, but I assumed more cab franc than cab after smelling. I believe this is 58CF/42CS. The nose is intoxicating...peppered blackberries, rhubarb tart. The palate is very red and black fruit driven highlighted by bay leaf coveted dates and plums. Love the CF complexity here...shows why it’s one of my favorite varietals.
