Beautifully cellared by the winemaker. First vintage of Faust. Dripping tobacco and tertiary elements peaking. Never thought Faust could age by any means. It is true that earlier vintages have a bit of Quintessa fruit in them. Thank you, Jen Beloz ;)

Had the 2002 in October of 2015. Super soft, just beginning to decline in my opinion, but wonderful with our Italian red sauce and meat dinner. I'd enjoy another bottle if I had one. On the full side of medium, black fruits showing some nice aged characteristics of dates and aromatics starting to show some prune.

Still holding up well, after an hour to decant.smooth with lots of red fruit up front, as it opened some minerals came into play, charcoal, slate, nice long finish with the oak barrels doing their job.

Had to decant. Took nearly three hours to open up but it was worth the wait. Very spicy cab. Sipping wine.
