Lots of tobacco, anise, and earthiness. Dusty tannins grip on the finish. Good acidity. Not much fruit at this stage. Starting to brick. My guess is: drink up!

Hard to rate on a numerical scale. Burly wine, worked well with bbq pork chops. Enjoyed very much. Reflects well the terroir of Rodano, thanks Gianni. 2008 vintage.

Classic Sangiovese. Very nice cherries and berry flavors on the front with a relaxing soft finish. Worth the restaurant markup.
