Boggina Toscana Sangiovese

New wine for me from Petrolo, this is cool, fresh, clean and tight and 100% Sangiovese. Worth seeking out for this very good expression of the grape.

J’ai toujours bien aimé cette maison italienne donc mes attentes étaient peut-être élevées. Axé sur le fruit, les tannins bien controlé, manquait un peu de complexité, asséchant, finale courte, phase ingrate? À revisiter dans 3-5 ans, peut-être tout sera en place

Earthy at first, with some cranberry and floral notes developed after 30 minutes. Tomato paste on the palate. Pairs well with red sauce.

Fine expression of Sangiovese. Full,firm, and a bit tight. The back of the palate tart you usually find with thinner Sangiovese only wines is especially refreshing with this body

Very beautiful and understated. 2011 drinking in a really pure and expressive place. Nice, versatile expression of Sangio. At home w/ pomodoro
