A unique Italian super tuscan due to the fact that it is 100% Merlot. Despite this it actually drinks more similarly to a Sangiovese with savory flavors of black currant, roasted tomato, along hints of cedar & clay. Also worth noting this wine needed at least a 1+ hour decant to open up and even continued to improve into day 2. Ended up being an excellent simple pairing with pizza on day 1 & beef stoganoff on day 2! [3/7/23] ($43)
