Inky-purple. Very deep smoky nose hints at blackberry, blueberry, flint and violet. Then refined and juicy, with smooth deep flavors of mineral-accented blueberry and aromatic herbs. Outstanding - this has a long life ahead due to incredible concentration & density of flavors manifest in unbelievable complexity. Swirling this around over the course of a couple of hours was joyous. Very sturdy w/firm tannins - built for long haul. Paired beautifully w/my smoked baby backs & pork belly
