Smooth from the start. Not too heavy on the fruit. Hint of leather on the finish

Wildly acidic. Deep spices rendered an imbalanced flavor. I was fooled by the Wine Spectator rating of 92, but it is still, nonetheless, a value at $15 (was simply underwhelmed given prior reviews)

Immediate dark fruit plummy that slowly builds in the middle with a complex taste. Very intense and difficult to describe. Must be decanted to appreciate the complexity.
