Estate Bottled Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Best Monday lunch shift I’ve ever worked. And they left me a sip too, so now I can confirm that the 2010 vintage is ready and willing. What a sublime experience this wine will offer you. Tongue tingling up to ten mins after that sip. Full, and absolutely gorgeous.

clear, bright garnet, minimal rim variation, medium + viscosity. Nose; clean, medium + intensity, youthful, ripe red and black fruits. chocolate covered black cherries, woodsy forest, maybe pine? palate; dry, full body, medium acid, medium + alc ( 14.5, balanced) medium tannins, medium + complexity (its a baby, needs time, it’s tight), medium length. rate 9 2018 tasted 9/2020

Deep purple color. Aromas of blackberry, cassis, licorice and baking spices. Amazing flavors of berries, oak and licorice. Absolutely solid- one of my favorites for the evening.

The highlight of my 2023 Harvest trip to Napa. This is a magnum from the Nickel’s personal wine cellar. Had the pleasure of enjoying over several hrs. Begun tasting at their underground cellar at the estate in the afternoon and finished over diner in the evening. The last glass reached a new level of enlightenment; the wine tasted young again with bright fruit; in complete harmony with with the acid, alcohol, tannins and nuances. Unforgettable experience. Cheers.

Red fruit and a nice warm roundness to the wine.

Dark ruby color. Great dark fruit nose with great follow through on the palate with dark cherries and chocolate. Very smooth. For being so young it was great
