Dark golden in color.

Pretty nose with citrus, yellow apples, melons, light earth, brioche, herbs, light yeast, spices and minerals.

Medium bodied with medium acidity, and medium plus size bubbles.

Dry on the palate with apples, light earth, herbs, brioche, spices, yeast, minerals and sea salt.

Long finish with limes and light marzipan notes.

This Non-Vintage Champagne is drinking so beautifully now. Nicely balanced and elegant. Fruit forward and rich, with lots of bread notes. Easy drinking and complex.

Such a great surprise. Feels like an aged Dom Perignon, which is so interesting.

Good right out of the bottle, and much better after 45 minutes of airtime, and delicious by itself as a sipping wine.

100% Pinot Meunier grapes from the 2020 vintage were aged on the lees for 2 years. Disgorged in 2022.

12% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

The “Hommage à Cuisles, 100 Ans” is just that, a celebration of 100 years of the Moussé family working their unusual land in Cuisles where there is green clay and Meunier is king. It’s also the only time I can recall seeing a Special Club bottle used for a non-Special Club label (though Famille Moussé is part of the Club Trésors). Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The wine pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, beautiful notes of strawberry, white peach, raspberry, a kiss of fresh brioche and soft minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is extraordinary. Based on the 2020 vintage. Drink over the next decade, easy. Disgorged December 2022.

Quite different bubbles from this Special Club offering. And given the panel tests to make it into Special Club each year, like others , this does not disappoint. Crisp, citrus fruit driven. Delightful find.
