Turning a shitty day around with this gorgeous Priorat. Old-vine, amphora ferment/aged, portion WC, native yeast and min SO2. Weighty depth of ripe red and black cherries, roasted plums, clove, animal, MINERALS, smoke, rubber, violets, chaparral. Textural grit, loving the freshness the Carignan brings to the table, picking up where the grenache left its deep fruit and herbs, carrying the richness through the finish.

A big punch at the beginning but leaves a great taste in the mouth. 2019 blend at Priorat lunch

2013. Classic Priorat berry fruit. Llicorella mineral backbone. Amfora aging makes for a chalky texture. Really good wine...and distinctive.

Young and a little thin. But it’s packed with life. Could be shut down or a bad day. Good Slatey nose.

This is a tasty wine. I've always loved Garnacha (here in Priorat called Garnatxe—this is a blend though). Aged partially in amfora, or clay pots, which gives an earthy quality.
