Bordeaux-style blend with finesse. One of BC’s best unknown producers of the big reds. Beautifully silky and well-rounded tannins. Blackberry, cassis, caramel, cedar, smoke and vanilla notes on the palette. Excellent wine.

Love this cab sav. Delicious now but would be even more so when cellared a few years. Leather notes mixed with blackberry notes. #cabsav #okanaganred

Love this wine! This wine swings big for a Canadian Okanagan red. Full, dry, excellent finish with great balance. Leaves you wanting more.

Very nice red from a quaint smaller winery. Wonderful tasting experience at the winery. Would buy again.

Phenomenal. Every other year I open one of these bottles from 2016 and the evolution keeps impressing me. On the nose, has a character of rainy ancient west coast forest. On the palate, Blackberry, blueberry, with hints of dark cherry. Blended perfectly with a rich, aged, leather. Hints of cedar wood, slightly smoked. Perfectly balanced. Only going to keep getting better over the next few years.

And here we have it... our new favourite BC red. The colour is dark Burgundy, almost black. The aroma fills the nose with dark freshly ripe fruits and hints of black liquorice. On the palate, first notes are composed of freshly ripe dark plums, blackcurrant, with flavours of dark raisin and cassis. The dark fruity notes are followed by hints of vanilla, and mild mulled cooking spices and anise. It’s a big and bold dark fruit wine that is elegantly integrated with silky, royal tannins. Every sip makes you pause and appreciate its strength. If you find this you must buy it, or come to Oliver BC.

I have been spoiled. All other red wines taste like dreck. Hoarding my last 2 bottles, but there will surely be some reason to celebrate soon.

Well balanced lovely. A modest winery with no ritzy fan fair. Just producers of fine wines. My 2nd foray into the Fairview brand. Greeted by a couple of very friendly poochies 🐶🐕 and you walk into a very small show area. Very welcoming and friendly. Makes me want to support our local industry for sure. The BEAR is a full bodied Bordeaux style blend of Cab suave, Merlot, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot. Referred to as the "Bear Meritage" A great I known and winery to many. Paired well with home style burgers with aged cheddar and seasoned fries.. man was it good. The wine just cut the food with finesse and a high level of satisfaction. My just loved and she is picky. A lovely lady with Italian heritage who first drank wine when she was 5...lol.. knows a thing or 2 about wine so when we uncorked this baby, nothing but smiles. Cheers Fairview!!!!

Great example of a new world cool climate Bordeaux style wine. Vanilla and dried rose petals on the nose, a little bit of age and oxidation make this 2014 extra interesting. Could still age another 3-5 easy. Mid- body, mid+ acid, moderate tannins. A little bright but beautifully put together.
