This skin contact Pinot Gris is made by a dear friend. A beautiful, bright ruby color with a magenta rim. Slightly turbid with a translucent core. Medium- viscosity. The wine is natty on the nose. Dank cherry and red rope licorice. On the palate, the wine is dry and initially the slightest bit effervescent but that dissipates with about 15min in the glass, leaving it perfectly still. Low tannins and medium+ acid. Tart cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, underripe forest strawberries, orange pith, limestone minerals. The finish is long, bright and satisfying. A wonderful wine for the first day of Spring.
