Failla
Estate Vineyard Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir
It's a Pinot, not a lot going on. I would pass on this in the future.

Aug 22nd, 2015Wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was such a wonderful bottle. More mineral than fruit upon opening the bottle, but with time, each sip became smoother and more enjoyable. A great complement to sous vide lamb.

Mar 6th, 2022Very closed at first. Muted, metallic, not much else. Ten minutes in the glass and some cassis arrived on the palette; nose is still blood/iron. And then it didn’t go anywhere from there. A fine Pinot, but nothing special and disappointing especially for the age.

Jul 31st, 2020Homemade Neapolitan Pizza and Pinot night. Chose this for the moderate richness and relative simplicity, hoping for a middle aged wine with good integration and plenty of remaining fruit. This did not disappoint!

Jul 18th, 2020I’m drinking from PnP. This wine has held up well. Tanzer’s 2013 review largely holds. There’s an overt loamy core to the nose now, with an iron/blood element, and a bitter vegetal aroma. Perhaps soapy. The fruit has faded faster than the acid. A light dusting of tannin followed by a medium length finish.
