Perfect cork, this was impeccable and firing on all cylinders. A classic Chuy CH with its dense richness, subtle phenolic edge, and zesty acidity to back it all up. Tastes just like I remember but with the contours and details balancing and more in focus. Blown away by the mineral backbone here, distinctly North coast but very pronounced. I could drink this everyday.

Round and rich while still showing incredible restraint. Balanced with a rich fruit balanced with a core of minerality. Old vine chard!

This wine makes me think of everybody who has ever said, "I don't like chardonnay." Bright and complex, crisp and clean, nuances to spare, this wine will put a smile on your face. And when you're done smiling, which will be awhile, you'll nod a few times, say "yes," quietly to yourself, and then reach for the bottle. Maybe just one more splash.

A California Chardonnay of grace and beauty. // Straw color. Apricot and peach nose. Dense and structured palate with lots of glycerol power. Finish starts to show some prettiness but we're still in a intensity zone here. This will improve with age. $50 retail.

Stony, peppery, citrus nose. Rocks and chalk flavors w intense white pepper accents. Crisp, mineral-laden and hardly recognizable as a typical CA style.

Perfect for captain @Darren Schlissel. Chuy vineyard. Very clean and linear. Great stone fruit and acidity. One of the best California chardonnays had.

Just wonderful. Old vines and great winemaking. Concentrated yellow stonefruit with terrific weight and a wonderful herbal note. All with a sense of minerality underpinning it all. One of my favorites to pair at the restaurant. @Ehren Jordan
