Deep garnet and pleasant fruit notes on the nose with blueberry and clove. Body dark and medium high acidity. Moderate tannins and quick finish with bits of cassis and currant.

Excellent body. Very rich. Better with food than in its own.

If you don't understand tannin, you will after drinking this wine! Big, BIG mouth-drying tannins. The wine is inky red-purple with aromas of cedar and plum. It's a big flavor wine, but light bodied. An enigma. Flavors of plum, dark fruit jam, and a little pepper spice. I really need another bottle to make a definite opinion. I think this wine will age beautifully and would definitely benefit from aeration if drinking now. Really lovely with an Italian sausage, fennel, and kale pasta bake.
