F. Stephen Millier
Angel's Reserve Lodi Zinfandel
Hello and welcome my followers. As you know, if you followed my last post, I am trying wines from naked wines .com. So far I have discovered only one wine worth talking about. Stephen Millier's black label cab. I am not an Angel yet, but am very close to being invited to join the club. There are a lot of negative reviews about this operation out of California's NAPA valley. So I am here to give it the test. For about 40 dollars a month you can build up a fund that you can use toward purchasing their wines. Look it up if you want more info. I will say this, if the wines are good, its a fantastic deal for the wine buyer and the wine maker. Tonight, I am trying Stephen Millier's Zifandel to see how it compares to his delicious Cab. It has a scew cap. The color is very light. The legs are pretty but last only 4 seconds. The boquet is very fruity with hints of high sugar levels. The initial palate is that of chocolate and rasberry jelly. It is sweet. The Finish is good, with no after taste. There are No sensations to the tongue. There is No spice. It is Not dry! It is Very fruity! It would go great with vanilla ice cream. Almost like a weak port! This would be a great wine to have on a date with a non wine drinker. I will buy this wine to serve to my guests who like sweet wines such as those individuals who ask for a white zifandel - which does not exist in my wine bar!

Thin... Sam thought it was too tart. Robin liked it but didn’t love it.

Sep 24th, 2017Round, fill, jammy fruit. Not overwhelmed by oak. Did not find it nuanced or complex, but it was rather good. Stood up to my grilled steak and the afters were good!
