Cedar, brewers yeast, dried roses, concrete. -very dry. You can sense it’s dryness on the nose. Slightly muted blue and red fruit. Gets better with air. Think this would be great with age. In 10 years, smoke and more roses.

Let this breathe for a bit, so it loses the baby fat and shows it’s true shine.
Pure essence of black sweet cherries, a whiff of roses, with some black pepper and a dark rocky, mineral undertone. So fresh & enticing. There’s even a hint of burnt orange peel. Airy, spacious, fresh!
On the palate this shows bright cherry acidity, with a hint of blueberry, the rocky minerality underlining it all. Nice tannic frame - light yet with crunch. The alc (14%) sticks a bit out towards the finish but aber all this is a really lovely Barbera, esp. slightly chilled!
Just let it breath as upon opening it’s a quite different (and less interesting) wine.

Deep purple color with notes of black cherry, dates, and leather. Far more tannin that expected, more balance after some time in the glass but never overly complex.

Not my favorite Barbera. Quite a bit of muddled tannin on the finish. Loses the red fruit character I was hoping for and also is a bit hot in terms of alcohol. For $25 I’d skip.

Really enjoyed this smooth, easy drinking, red-fruity wine with a bit of minerality.

A very nice Italian! Medium plus body, fruit forward with a mix of red & black fruit, low tannins, quite smooth, some minerality.

Floral and berry notes. Dried violets, raspberry and tannins. Almost taste like a barbaresco.
