A value priced Pinot from Étude? Say what! Lovely aroma, great mouthfeel. The fruit is a little warmer than I would prefer, but over all it's very balanced. A touch of alcohol. But for under 20.00, amazing.

I find the nose between Carneros and Santa Barbara with a light cherry cola and slight herbaceous note. For an inexpensive wine, it has medium grip and sufficient acidity to be pleasant. No wow but drinkable.

On work trip. Earthy deep fruit flavors, bolder Pinot with soft tannins. Yummy by itself but may be even better with food.

Second label from Etude. Starting to show some great Santa Barbara Pinot characteristics. Fiddlestix and North Canyon Vineyard fruit. 100% Pinit Noir. Restaurant only but you may be able to find it in some independent bottle shops.

A pleasant surprise in the under $20 Pinot Noir category. Having tasted both the Grace Benoist and Fiddlestix vineyard offerings from Etude recently and enjoying the latter much more than the former, it didn't surprise me that the blend includes Fiddlestix (along with North Canyon). A strawberry rhubarb pie tossed into a campfire and then doused with salt water.
