Immediately upon opening it shows lush fruit and ripeness. There's a bit of minerality as well. Initial rating of 91. I'm expecting it to show a lot more as the evening wears on. An hour or so in, it shows more spice and earth characteristics. Still a fairly big wine, but has more nuance than it first let on. So the rating jumps as well.
