This Kermit Lynch selection is a fairly typical fruit driven, dry, southern Rhône style rosé made from a blend of 30% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 30% Mourvèdre, and 10% Cinsault sourced from 10-50 year old vines. It is made by direct press, vinified in a non-interventionist manner, and allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation. The property is family owned and run by 3 brothers who farm it biodynamically and organically in the new, small Pic Saint-Loup mountain appellation in the Languedoc-Roussillon. 13.5% ABV.

2014 Ermitage du Pic Saint Loup Rose - absolutely thrilled by this Rose. Spectacular. Must be the Syrah/Grenache/Mourvèdre/Cindault blend.

Round, good acidity that lingers across the palate. Strawberry, watermelon and with orange and a little thyme. White flowers. Easy to drink. Pair with garlicky seafood.

Watermelon rind, high level of salinity, strawberry finish. So great.

Mostly Syrah & Mourvèdre. The acidic structure is tense and fresh. Not your summertime drink & forget it on a hot day kind of rose. Texturally complex and wonderfully aromatic. Beautiful bottle.

My favorite and go to Rose. I love the last kick of flavor in the aftertaste.
