Medium to full body, juicy dark fruit laden with blackberries, blueberries and plum and a slight earthy undertone, coupled with pepper. Excellent length; purple colour.

2013 vintage. Juicy, bright and quaffable. Cracked pepper, plum, herb. Grainy, grippy tannin. Perfect with pizza and salad in the backyard

Super bright red fruit with medium to high acid. An easy drinker, perfectly light red for spring.

Inky black fruit on the nose with a lick of reduction (though nowhere near as prevalent on previous vintages, feel this may behave better under cork, but sure they will have done it for a reason and the wine is for early drinking). Really like some of the character you find on the nose, macerated prune, intense and Smokey in style, black pepper corns and intensely distilled notes of violet. But there’s also something else, less attractive, like an ashtray full of cigarette butts that’s been left out in the rain.
Palate leads on sour cherry and plum, there’s a refreshing bite to it though with un-ripe blueberry, the finish leads on sour plum.

Really wanted to like this more but it feels like it’s been picked a little early to keep the some freshness (which it has) but without having proper phenolic ripeness to be truly enjoyable.
(Could shine with the right food though).

Smell of ripened sweet plums in an orchard where a strong aromatic herbs are grown along the edge.

Dense and lovely - this wine shows bright, rich fruits, raspberry pie, unsweetened blackberry jam, hints of Provençal herbs with a lip smacking tanginess, and elderberry acidity.

Give me a Skurnik find any day.
Delicious !

Fermented in concrete tanks & large wooden vats, aged for 9 months. Sumptuous Syrah, sometimes overlooked, offering with aromas of fresh sweet berry fruits and hints of floral and pepper spice. On the palate lively blackberry and cherry flavors with black pepper, great mouthfeel. Soft tannins, lingering youthful finish carrying the fruit to the ending. Great value.

Solid for the price! Soft and really opened up to show its true Hermitage colors aromatically after an hour. Definitely leaves something to be desired but a nice weekday wine for sure.
