A big bold and tannic blend with some unexpected polish and finesse.

Big fruity red with a fabulous nose, enjoyable but just not as lush and balanced as the other years, finishes harsh. Went back and checked my previous entry for the 2011 and sure enough I found it a little underwhelming last year as well.

Good but not great like some of the other vintages, all the same notes though.

Been really enjoying wines from this vineyard. Paso Robles continues to produce exciting Rhone Valley mimics. Not inexpensive, but far from rich. If you can find one of their wines, try it. It needs to be decanted. Let it open for at least 30 minutes. Cheers!!
