Monthly wine group met up and had an Italian wine night at one of the local Italian BYOB spots. Really fantastic Italian wines were brought, as well as some random bottles that were outside the theme (but worthy of opening regardless of theme).

This was awesome. Meshed new world/old world very nicely. Very dark and brooding. Loved the dark fruits here...lush blackberries, blueberries, cherries. Great texture on the palate. The finish went from fruit to an herbal/spicy note. Drinking really well now. Thanks

Drinking while decorating for Christmas (not hosting Thanksgiving this year Nov 2023), aged perfectly. Decanted for about 30 minutes, beautifully aged barolo with rose petal and prune aromas. More prune flavors along with tar and blackberry. No rush to drink! Highly recommend!

Medium tar and light flowers when opened, but reversing after being decanted. Full fruit with red cherries. Still tannic but beautiful.

This wine has depth. An excellent wine that can still be enjoyed for years to come. The vanilla notes stand out.

Good wine, better with acidic food like tomato sauce. I really didn't find any oak or vanilla flavored as much as stewed red fruits and blackberries
