Sixth wine at Oakton this afternoon and third red. Purplish ruby red similar to the Black Label. A little stinky to start and dark and brooding fruits. Slightly creamier than the Black Label with blackberries. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Slow attack that is followed up with a pinch of dark fruits and a long, lingering and dry finish. This will only improve with time, maybe longer than 15 years. Drink till 2030.
