Showing a slight brick rim. Wine is likely at its prime drinking window now, wouldn't hold for much longer.
Unfortunately, my bottle was a little infected with TCA. It wasn't enough to ruin the whole experience but I think it might have muted the flavor - particularly on the back end. The cork definitely smelled musty but the natural aromas of the wine were strong enough to rise above that in the glass.
Nice rich red cherries predominate on the nose with a little bit of that classic Pinot funk. Nice and soft on the palate but a perky peppery flavor across the mid palate. Finish drops off quickly which is disappointing but I think that has to do with the cork taint.
Gonna have to give this an 88 which falls short of my expectations. I wish I had another bottle because I suspect a clean cork would unveil a 90+ pt. wine.
