"Odedi"

Purple in color with a short purplish rim.

Strong nose of petroleum, blackberries, black currants, earth, wood, bell pepper, asparagus, vegetables, forest floor, spices and peppercorn.

Medium-bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, bell pepper, oak, vinaigrette, green vegetables, alcohol, herbs, earth and black pepper.

Short finish with bitter herbs and spices.

This Chilean Cabernet is unbalanced, with a strong aftertaste that did not agree with me at all. Shows some complexity, and very earthy, with a nice mouthfeel.

Probably past its peak by now, which is a bit surprising. I had this vintage last year, and it was better.

Needed 3 hours to open up.

13.5% alcohol by volume.
