Came out of the bottle wrapped in a tight ball. Hour two unrolled into a Rutherford classic, huge dark fruit and cassis. Initially a forestry funk (eucalyptus?). Mouthfeel is full and rich, black cherry. Tannins firm but well integrated. Typicity on point! This is what a Napa cab should be. The 2005 of this wine is what made me "get" wine. It's cool to be able to have come to appreciate this even more fully over the years!
